About Gift Aid

By making a Gift Aid Declaration, VETAID can reclaim the tax that donors have already paid on their donation, at no extra cost to the donor.  This means that, for all UK taxpayers, VETAID can reclaim an additional 25p for every pound that they have given*.  The only requirement is that the donor must pay UK income or capitals gains tax at least equal to the amount of tax VETAID reclaims.

We are able to back-date claims on donations you have made in the past six years to which Gift Aid was not already applied.   Gift Aid will also be applied to any future donations you make unless you advise us that your situation has changed and we can no longer make a Gift Aid claim against your donations.

If you are a VETAID supporter and have not yet signed a Gift Aid declaration and are eligible, please contact the UK office to arrange this.  You can also make a Gift Aid declaration while making an online donation to VETAID.

* VETAID will reclaim 28p of tax on every £1 given up to 5 April 2008.  VETAID will reclaim 25p of tax on every £1 given on or after 6 April 2008.
