CLIMB MOUNT KILIMANJARO AND RAISE FUNDS FOR VETAID
The highest freestanding mountain in the world, Kilimanjaro is also the highest mountain on the African continent at 5896m. Its snow-capped summit rises high above the dusty plains and huge permanent glaciers flow down from the summit; these views are the reward for pushing your limits both physically and mentally.
Our trek takes the less-trodden Machame route, allowing us to camp and fully appreciate the splendour of our surroundings and the clear night skies. We pass through thick forest, moorland and scree enroute to the highest point, Uhuru Peak.
This is a challenging trek at altitude, climbing one of the most impressive and well-known mountains in the world.
Follow in the footsteps of some famous TV personalities, and raise vital funds for VETAID. You can read more about the trip prices and download an itinerary here. This event is run in collaboration with Discover Adventure and dates and fundraising amounts can be found on their website (http://www.discoveradventure.com/). All trips must be booked directly through them, but if you would like to discuss anything with VETAID, please email leonie.
For your trip there are 2 pricing structures.
Fundraising Option: Raise the Minimum Fundraising Target and VETAID will fund your Tour Cost. Open Challenges are priced so your chosen charity retains a high 60% of the Minimum Fundraising Target.
Self-Payment Option: Fund your own Tour Cost and donate 100% of your fundraising – whatever amount – to VETAID. This is always an option on our Open Challenges.
Registration Fee - £549: Guarantees your place on the trip; payable upon trip registration for both payment options.
Minimum Fundraising Target - £3,875: Charity pays Tour Cost once it has received your target amount; this presents no financial risk to VETAID.
Tour Cost - £1,550: Tour Cost + Registration Fee covers your flights, meals, permits, accommodation, experienced leadership, medical back-up, trip support and lots more!
