Vaccinating for Africa Day 2008

A Community Animal Health Worker in Tanzania prepares a vaccination

On 15th May, nineteen vet practices took part in VETAID’s Vaccinating for Africa Day. Thank you to all the practices that took part.

This was the second year that VETAID was involved in the Europe-wide event which is organised by VETAID along with other members of the Vétérinaires sans Frontières (VSF) network.

The idea behind the Vaccinating for Africa Day is simple: vet practices book in as many boosters as possible on the chosen day and:

·             Donated half the total income from boosters given to VETAID

·             Displayed posters to let clients know the practice is taking part

·             Provided information to their clients about VETAID

If you would like to find out how your practice can support VETAID, please contact Leonie at leonie@vetaid.org or call 0131 445 6241.
